Is funk contagious? If I don't pretend to be cheerful, will my kids get all angry and gothy on me? I mean, I know they're little, but the 'Roo has a way with cosmetics already...

I went to my seminar on Saturday. The first half was fine, but the after lunch? We had about 3 hours of my life I can not reclaim. I can't buy into the "Rah-rah" servant leadership love crap. I serve as a volunteer for an organization I believe in, and I show my enthusuasm...but I'm not going to force anyone else to pull out their pom-poms and volunteer if that's not something they feel drawn to.

Plus, I learned that I have to change our local web site to be in compliance with the international one, and I am so dreading that. We have a manual that is 48 pages thick (not an exaggeration) for branding, and turns out, I'm not using the right FONT or colors. Seriously.

So, say a little prayer or chant or sacrifice a lamb for me..I'm going to be in a bad mood until I get it all done, and I don't wanna.

I have been neglectful, oh Cre8 peeps. I have ignored your pleas for recognition, shunned your requests for friendship and even deleted your comments from my inbox with no remorse.

But, I have come to make amends. Please forgive me. I have approved friendships, read blogs of heavenly delight, and checked every one of my comments thoroughly.

I promise to be better. I promise to love you all equally, and I promise to finish that damn story on my blogspot post-haste.

Just let me get through next Saturday, mmkay?

licking my wounds. I should learn to grow some thicker skin. I wonder if this writing gig is right for me--if some of my more thought-out pieces are superficial and long-winded, what the hell would one say about a full manuscript of my work?

minding my own business, when I felt the need to clean something. ANYTHING. Avery was out--no clean house for her!--so I tackled the box of ephemera I have on hand for last-minute gfts.

I found two scrapbook page sets. From two years ago. Still in the wrapper. Accusing me of neglect, even. So, I made the only rational choice I could make: I am going to have a contest on my Blogspot blog to give them away!
