A positive mindset is the key to personal power and the fuel for your success. What we think creates our reality. Therefore obtaining and sustaining a positive thought pattern will transform your life, health and over all perception.
Making choices is a strategy in life. Similar to an essence of who you are and what you want to be. Just as you are making the choice to continue reading this entry is telling me that you are ready or at least curious as to why or how positive thinking can improve your situation. In this moment right now you need to understand that the past is gone and can not be changed and the future is not here yet, leaving a hopeful uncertainty. But you can choose to make a change right now, in this present moment because you have the personal power to. Our lives consist of inner thoughts and beliefs that manifest our reality on the outside.
Positive affirmations are a solid start on changing negative thought patterns into positive power. Affirmations will leave you feeling great about yourself. An affirmation is a positive statement, whether repeated out-loud, or written down on a piece of paper.
For example:
Waking up in the morning you are feeling out of place and your mood is a bit blue. You look in the mirror and start to self criticise your looks. You start to think about all your outside flaws. (STOP) You have just manifested your own reality with inner thoughts. You are allowing negative thoughts to engulf your thought pattern. Instead of allowing these negative thoughts to continue replace them with positive thoughts. An affirmation. Repeat out-loud several times over and over again - “I am beautiful.” If you don’t feel comfortable talking out-loud, write your affirmation down. Keep a thought journal where you just continue repeat your affirmations.
Postive affirmations are healing scripts that will make you counter-act the negative thoughts. They will help you let go of the negative emotional baggage you have been carrying around. Positive affirmations are a personal statement saying you are allowing yourself to let go, grow, to rise up, and better yourself. A positive affirmation has three areas. “I”, “I can”, and “I will”. All stating something about yourself. “I” statements are stating something that exists within you. “I can” statements are stating something about your potential. “I will” statements are about change in your life.
They are simply statements of self belief and personal power.

Year of Positive Affirmations: For each day of the next month write 1 positive affirmation down on an index card. Carry it with your throughout the day, repeating it. At the end of the day write on the back of the card your feelings towards this affirmation. Continue to do a new affirmation for each day of each month there after. At the end of each month place them in a keepsake box. At the end of the year, re-read your affirmations, not how you feel about them now in the present moment. Has your thought pattern changed on a specific topic? I suggest keeping a personal journal so you can see your own progress.
I wish you peace and much success on your journeys.
