Description:
I just lost Stutz last November. I guess that's nearly a year now, but it still feels so new. Stutz was over 19 years old and had been with me for about 17 1/2 of that. He was with me through moving away from my parents' home for the first time, marriage, divorce, major cross country move and all the little stuff in between. He had a degenerative joint disease that caused him to be in pain most of his life, but he never let it get him down. He continued to hobble around right up to the end. The vets were amazed - they called him "Wonder Cat" - because he basically had no cartilage left in his knees. He was also the smartest cat I've ever met - freaky smart. I kept expecting him to speak up and talk to me one day. I miss him very much!
