I just started a new serialized fiction story today. It's called "The Goatherd's Tale" and you can find it at http://thegoatherdstale.blogspot.com
I would enjoy and appreciate feedback, this is my first attempt at fiction.
After reading NaNoWriMo founder Chris Baty's "No Plot, No Problem" I've put a halt to my NaNo writing. I'll start again on November 1.
There is a good reason to limit the writing to one month, and getting a head start isn't only cheating but it opens the door to some of my worst writing demons:
- Inner critics
- The rewrite, rewrite, overwrite, get bored and quit pattern.
- Procrastination
I'm on the fourth day of writing a novel. 1000 words a day. If you want to follow the progress, check out http://www.coffeeandablog.com
Is anyone else signed up for National Novel Writing Month at http://www.nanowrimo.org ? Their site is very slow, but it's worth a look.
And speaking of social websites (aren't we already?), if you like books, literature, and/or writing, and you haven't found Wordsy.com, go there now!
