"Are you talking to me?" James asked him. (how very Deniro of James eh?)
"Of course I'm not talking to you, you ass!" the centipede answered.

Yes, you read it, Roald Dahl said 'ass'. My kids were beside themselves with joy over this one little sentence. I had to read it to them four times and then told them I was moving on. They can't wait to tell their father about this part of the book. So, way to go Roald Dahl, you rock, my kids are fans.
