chapter 13, p.41 (of my copy, recently purchased from amazon)
"I said turn out the light!" shouted the caterpillar angrily.
"Are you talking to me?" James asked him. (how very Deniro of James eh?)
"Of course I'm not talking to you, you ass!" the centipede answered.
Yes, you read it, Roald Dahl said 'ass'. My kids were beside themselves with joy over this one little sentence. I had to read it to them four times and then told them I was moving on. They can't wait to tell their father about this part of the book. So, way to go Roald Dahl, you rock, my kids are fans.
yes, in the future I will not cook bacon while my kids are playing with 'the doh'. It smells bad together...I don't recommend it, no I don't. Another useful tip while I'm at it. If anyone in your home gets stomach flu, do not offer spaghetti, lasagna, or anything with a red sauce to the rest of your family until you are SURE that they will not get sick. If those come back up, well, can you say 'crime scene'?
Thank you, that is all.
So, if you've seen me, you'd know I've recently attempted to fight the signs of aging, and of course, I chose Pink hair dye to do it....the point where I dropped the ball in this operation was trying to do it ALL BY MYSELF. Ok ok, I'm a goober. How old do you have to be to know better than that. I did just have my 4th child recently so I'm pleading temporary (or permanent perhaps) hormonal insanity. Moving on, I used manic panic which gave me a fabulous shade of dark hot pink, I loved it, then it started to fade. I expected it to fade, however, I didn't expect it to fade faster on the ends and sides. Ewww, totally ruins the 'I'm a hip 30-something mom' if my pink hair looks crappy! Then I wanted to try another color but someone told me I had to wait till ALL the color faded out or I'd end up like rainbow bright...sheesh why is it so complicated. So the point of this pointless tirade is, if anyone knows, or knows anyone else who might know some tips and tricks with bright, unnatural hair coloring, please, please let me know!
Does anyone know of a (preferably annonymous) support group for women over 30 who know all words to the songs from both high school musical movies?
Thank You
