I tease my students about the amount of time they spend grooming their My Page and Spacebook profiles, so to be honest, I'm having a hard time with this whole scene. Please forgive me if I'm the grump at the party who didn't bother to wear a costume and brought nothing for the potluck and spends the night whining about how loud the music is.

I do get excited about new things so I'm here to scope things out and have some fun. But I really don't have time for too much upkeep. I have a hard enough job maintaining my existing blog and saving my shoes (and my hairbrushes and half of my Tupperware lids) from the toilet where my daughter floats them several times a day. No, I can't just keep the door closed because I have 3 other kids who need to use the facilities.

Hey, no worries! Isn't that the beauty of this site? That you can be as dressed up or dressed down as you want to be? That you can be the one dancing on the table with the lampshade on your head, or the one sitting against the wall and chatting with a close friend? That's how I see it, anyhow.

I'm not dressed for the party either -- in my opinion, y'all should be glad I made it and not pay any attention to the fact that I'm still in my jammies!

Having fun is the point. If I didn't beg and plead for help sprucing up my place, it would never have happened--not only becuase I'm lazy, but also because I'm a techno-idiot. Glad to have you here on whatever basis you want to be!
