What can I say about me............... My name is Nina, I am Dutch, a midwife in the Royal Netherlands Army (Koninklijke Landmacht). I am married and my wife (we are a lesbian couple) and I have been together 10 years. We have three children ages 13 months to seven years. Our two oldest are adopted, Hilke is a little disabled having Spina Bifida, and Nicholas is profoundly deaf (like my wife), though now learning to talk. Our youngest daughter was born June 2007 and is a delight. Family life is very important to us and in addition to our three kids we have two cats, and two guide dogs - a hearing dog for my wife and a disability assistance dog for our eldest daughter. I have just turned 30 (yikes!).

My wife was the main writer out of the two of us, but is temporarily blind so now I am filling in. I am pretty new to the social networking thing but we have had a web site and blog for some years at www.willothewisp.org and a blog at www.willothewisp.org/wowblog

We have strong interests in women's rights, especially birth and maternal rights - something we are very strong on in The Netherlands. We are also very interested Health & Wellness through natural medicine and foods as my wife is a physiologist. We are a very eco aware family
