I'm a twice 'round mom. My first children were born when I was 30 and 31, respectively and then, after divorce and remarriage, I had twins at 42. I can't decide if my cup runneth over or my plate is full.

I'm also a working mom who's daily fantasy is to be a stay at home mom but there is college to pay for...

I blog to have a voice, usually a humorous one, and to meet other interesting women. I am amazed on a daily basis by the intelligence, courage, love and humour of my friends. I do believe the blog will bring world peace, if we can start the movement...

Ten Things about me:

1. I am a veterinarian. I wanted to be a chef but that wasn't acceptable to my academically inclined family. I joke that I will be able to combine my talents: Leendaluu's Veterinary Victuals:Cure 'em or cook 'em.

2. I love to cook. Not roadkill though. Local foods, things I've grown in my garden or harvested from my trees.

3. I want to save the world. But I don't know how and this causes me much anxiety

4. My laugh is obnoxiously loud and sounds like a machine gun. Everybody duck!

5. I am a liberal and I am ashamed that George Bush got elected twice.

6. I had an abortion (of sorts) and I am troubled by it, but I will not dictate to other women. Choice is just that, choice.

7. I hate that in this day and age, people make jokes about women holding political office in the US. Pakistan had a female Prime Minister; why are we afraid to have a female President?

8. I am concerned that we are not leaving a suitable environment for our children and grandchildren.

9. I love cupcakes. I want to create beautiful cupcakes but I don't have the time.

10. I want to be a friend. To. The. World.
