I spent many late nights in college cramming for tests. I'd mess around enough during the semester to not know the material so I'd try and learn it all in a few nights. Sometimes it works. I'd at least pass.
Well, it doesn't work in things like racing. If you don't train, you hurt and go slow. You can't make up missed training the night before.
I have a huge race weekend. Two races in two days. I'm competing hard for a top three spot in my age group and series (cumulative points over 12 races) and need to do real well this weekend.
Last week I "went to class" I did all the right things. Then, Monday. Scheduled day off. A bit of fun. A late night. Momentum has grinded to a halt.
The last thing I want to do is get back on the bike today. Maybe I'll just play on Cre8buzz. I can always cram tomorrow.
