I have to tell you, I have been doing the social networking on the internet thing about a year and a half now and have finally found what I've been looking for here at Cre8buzz.
It started out when I was trying to promote various direct sales companies I was involved with. Someone told me they got most of their business from Myspace, so I thought I'd give it a try. I met some great folks there no doubt, but for the most part the whole scene was a bit juvenile to me.
Meanwhile I noticed the site I had all my companies on offered blogging as well. I wondered, what is the big deal with blogging? I quickly rediscovered a long lost love of writing, born way back when I was in my teens. To write a diary and allow others to read and comment on it? Weird, but what the heck!
Fortunately, soon thereafter, I found Maya's Mom. I still think it's an awesome parenting site. Met lots of terrific people there. One, Sara,(aka Suburban Oblivian)told me about this new beta site called Cre8buzz.
From the start it was easy for me to set up my page, which is saying something for a computer doofus like me. I was even on the top 8 page for awhile. Then a bunch of crap happened in my personal life and I totally went off the computer for about two months.
I'm so glad I came back here. In the past few days alone I have learned about being agnostic from Moofie. (Hope I did not offend her.) I have laughed at Ender and Mikster's antics, read creative entries for the January writing contest, and gotten to know others like Tam and Corey Living and Loving a bit better. The names of those who have positively influenced my life are too many to mention.
The thing that stands out to me is, no matter what community you are affiliated with here on the Buzz, you are part of a larger community. A community that comes together to learn about one another and yes, even celebrate our differences. Color of skin, religious affiliation, gender, none of makes a bit of difference here. It adds to our sameness.
I see Cre8buzz as a micro-model of what humanity can be. That may sound incredulous, but I'm also a pretty big dreamer.
Here's to all of the friends I've made, and friends I've yet to meet! Happy 2008 to all of you!!

Yes, of the social networking sites I have profiles on (MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn)....cre8buzz is my favourite and newest. The community here instantly seemed warm to me, the design and colours of the site were pleasing to my eye, and the ranking concept here is refreshing. Thanks for the post!

Right there with you re: MySpace. I've also heard from others it's a "great place" (I use the term loosely) to...uh...pick people up...in your local area, whether you're married or not. I was looking for a social network where I could be myself, not get spammed with Viagra ads, and not get hit on. I think I've found it... (C:

I completely agree. I've tried Myspace and found too that it just seemed so much to keep up with and there are a lot of questionable characters out there. Cre8buzz is the perfect place to nurture your blogging relationships!
