Visit my post to get all the details on all the fabulous stuff I'm giving away on MomReviews all this week! Everyone who posts my banner or badge automatically gets one entry in every giveaway. This is also a great week to subscribe to the MomReviews feed either in a reader or by email. I hope you will stop by MomReviews and check it out!
My dear cre8buzz friends,
Yes, I know, I have neglected you. I have not updated in months, and for that, I am sorry. Here this page has been sitting, lonely, devoid of new photos of my kids and funny things my daughter is saying, oh how I have missed the Ant and his megaphone.
So you might roll your eyes when you read this, because I'm acting like that old friend who only calls you when they want something from you, but I need the help of as many people as possible, and there are so many here who I think of as friends.
I really, really, really, really want to go to BlogHer '08 in San Francisco. Like, so badly, that I would practically be willing to hitchhike to get there. I was saving the money to pay for the plane tickets, but two days ago a part in our furnace broke and I had to write a $500 check from my "saving for BlogHer" fund to pay for it.
I applied for a volunteer BlogHership but was not chosen, most likely because I was a paid workshop leader last year, so it's only fair that someone else get their fees paid this year. It was worth a try.
So now, BlogHer is having a contest. The winner gets free registration, roundtrip airfare, and two nights' accomodation. IT'S PRETTY MUCH MY LAST HOPE. The theme is "BlogHer Heroes", and they want nominations of people who demonstrate
* Passion
* Innovation
* The ability to inspire a community
If you think that I have those qualities, won't you please take a moment and join BlogHer (just takes a minute, you are basically listing your blogs on a huge directory for free) at http://www.blogher.com/,
and fill out the nomination form, at http://www.blogher.com/whos-your-blogher-hero-nomination-form
?
You would be making me indescribably happy if you do. Thank you, and much love to you all.
xoxo
Elizabeth
These are some of my favorite things that my 2 year old daughter says-
Her favorite "Dora the Explorer" quotes:
"Seatbelts! So we can stay safe!"-she says it every time we get in the car.
"Help! Help! Ayudenme!"-I'm not kidding, my 2 year old calls for help in Spanish, usually when she wants to get out of her crib.
She likes to "read" Go Dog, Go, and it sounds like this-
"Do you wike my hat? No, I don' wike it. Don' pway up dere, go down. Tum on, dog, go".
Now she's reading a Little People lift the flap book, and it sounds like this-
"Boy having juice, rabbit right dere, mom making too-tees (cookies)".
I just love listening to her!
"It's not my fault you are trying to brush your teeth while wearing mittens, sweetie".
Said to Kaitlyn, who got new pink nylon mittens over the weekend, and insists on wearing them all day long.
Look at the adorable sippy cup holders made by LilyBugs! Crystal Kane, founder, CEO, and Mom behind LilyBugs, got the idea when her six month old daughter was fussing in the car, and her bottle was leaking. Crystal wrapped a blanket around the bottle, and found that her daughter was able to hold her own bottle that way. From that experience came her idea to create soft holders shaped like animals that hold a bottle (the wide, nurser kind) or sippy cup. What a great idea! I like this MissFin Bug:

Orders are packaged in a cute matching bag and then shipped USPS first class in a padded envelope within 1 to 2 days. LilyBugs are $10.00 each, but I'm hoping to win one in a contest from Moms Morning Show! Rules for the contest are on this post here-http://momsradionetwork.com/morningshow/contest-win-a-lilybug/
If you've never listened to a show on BlogTalkRadio, take a minute some morning at 10:30 EST and listen to Moms Morning Show. They cover all kinds of parenting topics and you can call in to chat, too. I'm listening right now as I type this :)
