AzhriaLilu's cre8Buzz Blog
This is really to those people on my blogroll but anyone else who wants to comment is welcome to!
Why oh why, when you're all such wonderfully talented writers do you use blogger and not a self-hosted blog?
That's it really? I'm seriously curious!
It'll take me days to go around everyone's profiles, so until I get a chance to hit you all up I'm taking the easy way out!!!
Thank you to everyone who posted their best wishes to myself and Alice. It shows just how awesome a community cre8buzz is becoming!!!
Cheers guys!!!!
We all know it was Halloween/Samhain yesterday and sometimes I wonder how we manage to forget just how traumatic the day after can be when you have young children! It's not so much that they're up all night scared - my youngest - Caty not really counting in this as she's too young to understand - love Halloween, they know there's nothing scary about it and they adore dressing up, trick or treating and having their school disco... but sweet goddess!!! After a highly active day at school, then a two-hour disco session at the same place, followed by an hour out walking around the local community scaring the locals, then coming home to eat food and some of their stash and finally getting to bed three or four hours later than their normal bedtime.... a good day the next day is NOT!
Shannon has a trip to Chatsworth Manor today, she got up in pretty good spirits this morning, excited as its her very first school trip, but you could see how tired she was. Erin, on the other hand, got up with the screaming meanies! Caty woke the pair of them up at 5am, knocking on Erin's door and yelling in her gobble-de-gook, then went back to bed eventually. But once Erin is awake, that's it, she doesn't go back to sleep... so she's been awake since 5.
She came with me to take Shannon to school, Erin is only in school in the afternoons at the moment, and from the minute we arrived home at around 9.15am, the screaming started again..... and didn't stop until I walked out of her class at 1pm this afternoon. She's gone to school all red eyed and blotchy-faced and I soooo have tried to be patient with her all morning because I know she's dog-tired... but my god!.... my head feels like it's been split in half from all the shrieking.... anything would kick her off, from something coming on television that she didn't want to watch to her brother simply walking past her... I swear if she hadn't been in school this afternoon I'd have killed someone!
So now, I'm clock watching and trying to chill out. Caty's gone for her afternoon nap, Erin and Shannon are in school til 3 so I've got another hour and 15 minutes of relative calm. I've warned our eldest that when I leave to pick them up for school, he's to get their dinner started so they can come home, eat and go to bed! I know it'll be early but then they are only 5 and 3 years old... and judging by how late they got to bed last night an early night won't hurt them any!!!
I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.
I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just arseholes.
I've learned it takes years to build up trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.
I've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you better have a big willy or huge boobs!
I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to others - they are more screwed up than you think.
I've learned that you can keep vomiting long after you think you've finished.
I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, unless we're celebrities.
I've learned that however hot and steamy a relationship is first, the passion fades, and there had better be a lot of money to take its place!
I've learned that 99% of the time when something is not working in your house, one of the kids did it!
I've learned that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon and all the less important ones never go away!
Share these insights with your friends.. they'll appreciate it. And you never know, something good might happen.
If not, tough shit!
I can't take credit for this, but I received it from a friend this morning and it amused me so thought I'd share it with you guys.
No, I'm not speaking some bizarre made up language - NaNoWriMo actually means National Novel Writing Month and it's upon us very soon!!!!
The idea is to write a 175 page (50,000 word) novel by midnight November 30th.
You'll find full details and how to participate here - http://www.nanowrimo.org/
In 2006 they had over 79,000 participants. Nearly 13,000 of them crossed the 50k finish line by the midnight deadline, entering into the annals of NaNoWriMo superstardom forever. They started the month as auto mechanics, out-of-work actors, and middle school English teachers. They walked away novelists.
So let's get to it!!!
