About me?? Hmmm... what to say? what to say! This is my fifth attempt at getting something down in here! I'm married 43 years in November to a wonderful man. We have 2 children, one of each, both grown and married to wonderful people. They have given us our four beautiful grandchildren. I married very young and went back to school as an adult to get my high school diploma. I actually graduated in 1985 the same year as my son. While taking adult education classes I took an art class and found I really enjoyed oil painting and tole painting. The gull picture that is my avatar is one of my oils. I've been trying different crafts for years. Sewing, crochet, knitting, cross stitch, embroidery, oil painting, tole painting, flower arrangements and wreath making and probably a few more that I can't think of this minute. I put in a vegetable, herb and flower garden every year which is getting harder and harder to do. I worked outside of the home 20 years. I wore my body out causing problems with neck, back, shoulders, arms and hands. My disabilities caused my retirement which in turn gives me plenty of time to pursue my hobbies! However not working also means no money to pursue those same hobbies. My disabilities also make some of the things I enjoy impossible to do now, especially the hand intensive ones like crochet, knitting and embroidery and cross stitch. Depression sets in easily these days but my computer has been my lifesaver and actually makes me happy I can't stay asleep or that I'm up too early. My daughter and I started Clara's Teacup about four years ago thinking if nothing else it might pay for our crafts. That was before babies....she doesn't have much time for it now so we have cut way back on shows we attend. I better click update before I decide this "try " is unworthy and have to start all over again! I may anyway when I reread this lol so read fast!
