I am going on vacation tomorrow to beautiful Bayfield, Wisconsin on Lake Superior! Four days, no kids, plenty of alcohol, the sun and the beach. Ahhhh.... yes!

As if to make me truly appreciate my vacation, work today has been a bitch! If I were allowed to vent my frustrations I would create and enforce my own list of rules, such as:

  1. When you call me and I help you solve your problem, then I ask if you have any more questions, don't say, "No, that's all... but what about....?" See? That's a question. You said you were done. Knock it off!

  1. My family members should sense the fact that I am in over my head and refrain from calling me every time a thought crosses their minds. I don't need to know that the air conditioner is fixed but now the dishwasher isn't working and then receive update calls every half hour. Save it all up and give it to me in one phone call thank you very much. And I don't know where our daughter's health forms are so she can sign up for volleyball. You need to find them. You are at home where the forms are hopelessly lost, but sure to be somewhere you would least think to find them. I am here, at work. I haven't a clue and can't come home to look. And stop calling me to ask me the phone number to the doctor's office. I know it by heart after 19 years. You should too. Or use the phone book.

  1. Someone should provide me chocolate whenever I am stressed.

  1. And a masseur

  1. And a cot in a dark, quiet room for napping.

  1. All the coworkers should stop sending out those nonsense emails where one person after another replies to all about the birthday celebration they are having on Friday after work. The pop-up messenger that tells me I have a new message every three seconds gets insanely annoying when it is flashing every second, thirty times in a row!

There. I'm done. I feel better. Twenty five minutes to go and I'm on VACATION!

Fun and funny post! I spent a week a few weeks ago in Michigan on Lake Michigan with my sis SuperMama (check her out, btw) and her girls. Enjoy vacation.
