LauraLynn (www.cre8buzz.com/profiles/2932) just posted this on her blog and is asking for us to remember her in our prayers...
Treatment Plan~
Sometimes you just have to dust yourself off, get up off of the floor, and give it your all.
After my shock at the doctor last week, I guess you could say that I am on a mission.
My mission is to get this Lyme's disease out of my system within the next three months. This is normally a 12 month treatment plan, but the doctor says if I maintain a strict regimen of using no electromagnetic fields while I am on the meds it will go faster. 3 months sounds much better to me than one year, financially too!
12 months of treatment is $2,400.00, ouch. So, I know you can do the math, the 3 month cost would only be $600.00. Much better.
After alot of questions, can you ask too many?, I have learned from the Doctor that alot of people who unknowingly have Lyme's disease end up getting full blown M.S. Many of them do not respond to M.S. treatments because that is not the root cause. It is the Lyme's disease coating the nerves, mimicking M.S. Although...He did tell me that you can get full blown M.S. from untreated Lyme's disease, and that can be untreatable. Right now he said that I am just in the beginning stages of M.S. and he feels that with a fast, dedicated program, I will be able to get the Lyme's out of my system, which will cure the M.S. before it gets out of control. I hope he is right.
I will be very limited in my computer use, and my blogging. So please know that I still would love to be able to read everyone's blogs & leave comments, but I might have to take a break during treatment. I will come on quickly to leave updates, and check e-mails, but I really NEED this to work. And if staying off of the computer is what I need to do for a little bit- than that's the way it's going to be.
If you want to pray for specifics, right now my main problems are my left eye has 3-4spots where I can not see, and I would love to have that healed. My hands go numb with use and this is very hard with cleaning, cooking, childcare, etc. My elbows and wrists seem to be the most painful joints right now, and I am assuming that is because they are used the most. Most of all you can just pray that these medications will work, and that they will work fast, time is of the most importance for halting the spread of M.S.
I am picking up my medicines on Friday evening at 5pm. After I look over the days of treatment and spaces in between, I will let you know my schedule. The doctor told me there is a strong chance that I will get very sick from this treatment. With all of the kids starting school in 2 weeks this might be my worst problem, being home alone to care for a 20 month old. She is usually off playing with the kids, but now I will be her only entertainment. My Dilly Bean is starting kindergarten.....A very good reason to get weepy.
The main reaction my doctor has seen to Lyme's detox is flu like symptoms, high fever, body aches, and tiredness. I have told our church care ministry in case I do have a need for cleaning help, or meals for my family during this time. She has been so awesome to ask, and keep checking in with me.
Well, now that I have talked your ear off, I better get back to unpacking....Five days at the cabin is a lot of stuff!
