I’m a grandma who loves Technology. I was in a restaurant talking to some young waiters about the internet, blogs, podcasts, etc when one of them looked at me and said, “You’re just a regular old Digital Grandma aren’t you”. I laughed and said, “I guess that is what I am”. From then on I became The Digital Grandma.

In the 50’s, my mom was selling vitamins. She went off to Chicago to a meeting where some guys wanted to add soap products to the vitamin line, change the name of the business, and presented a new marketing plan for the distributors. She said there was quite a ruckus, but in the end, she came home a distributor of Amway products. From then on I saw the vision of how ordinary everyday people could have their own businesses and not be tied down to a job and what others thought of them.

With the emergence of the Internet, marketing has taken a new twist and now we have the whole world to communicate with about our products. This is exciting times and I’m glad that even I’m getting up there; this baby boomer can generate income to enable me to retire and keep busy with my own home business. No working in the garden for me.
