I live in a wealthy section of N.J., though far from wealthy myself. The stuff people throw out on my block is better than most of the used stuff on eBay. Come nightfall, my wife and I sneak out of the house with a wagon and a flashlight, and collect all the perfectly good, almost new items. We do it at night just in case someone put something to the curb for a friend to pick up.

Tonight we got two oak wall units. One about 5 feet tall and one 6 feet tall. Not a scratch on them and all the glass intact. I'm a garbage picker and proud of it.
