Well, I will be away from the computer for the GRAND public unveiling of this WONDERFUL site. I knew it was coming I just didn't think it would be the same time I had planned my computer-free week. :(

I'm VERY bummed that I will not get to see what happens during this next week! I'm going to be so behind on the going-ons. Actually, sometimes I feel so behind even when I'm here, so I suppose it won't be too bad! Someone will have to fill me in when I'm back online. I'll be missing y'all... from the regular world.

Have you read this to your child?! "The Tooth Book" by Theo LeSieg (better known as Dr. Seuss)is cute and fun... and a little educational as well. It answers the question "Who has teeth?" AND talks a bit about the importance of teeth for chewing, smiling, and speaking. The book also points out a few toothless creatures. Finally it touches on the importance of taking care of your teeth... 'cause you only get two sets don't you know! It does all this in the fun way that Dr. Seuss is known for with rhymes, repetition, and fun illustrations! :)

So, what gets me is the last lines of the book... "And never bite your dentist . . . your teeth's best friend. Bite someone else instead." WHAT?! I'm all for this book, The Boy really enjoys it and is so into LEARNING about anything and everything these days (including teeth). AND it's a book that will help him to start learning to recognize such words as teeth and tooth. I just don't like the last line... I do not want THAT to be the last thing The Boy remembers. I don't want him to go bite anyone! :) Yes, I know I can just skip this line when I'm reading it, but why even put it there? I usually LOVE Dr. Seuss, but I'm a little disappointed with this. Just wanted to rant a little...

Yesterday, after madly rearranging and cleaning we hooked the ol' computer back up, turned it on, and received a inaccessible boot drive error... HUH?! Too many times recently would like to give it a big BOOT... and maybe a bash or two and a toss out the window!

It's a sad state of affairs when losing access to your computer/internet is almost the end of the world. Currently, this is one of my ONLY connections to the outside world. More importantly adult conversation. Sure I have the numerous daily phone calls from my sisters (well, one in particular)... and random chats with real live friends, but overall the internet is all I have. I love talking with The Boy and baby talking with The Girl, but sometimes... yes, I'll admit it... that's just NOT enough!

Well, we got the computer running again... somehow, magically. BUT it's running VERY slowly. We have to seriously think about getting a new one... or at the very least adding more something (probably memory). So, in case you're wondering where I am... I'm fixing the computer... and trying to avoid insanity!!! :)

Well, originally I had decided not to add my other blog, mostly 'cause I only had one post on it and hadn't updated it. Now I've decided that having it listed here might help me keep writing on it... and more importantly keep trudging away at my decluttering task. I am in desperate need of "A Clean Sweep." Help hold me accountable... I've got a BIG job ahead of me!

So, if you've been visiting my cre8Buzz profile, you've noticed that I'm now adding pictures of The Boy and The Girl. After thinking about this for awhile (see some of my thought process at http://mom-chatter.blogspot.com/2007/08/to-use-or-not-to-use.html), I've made the decision that I can post pictures, but only pictures that won't allow people to see "what" they actually look like!! :) So, be prepared for lots of back of the head, side view, extreme close-ups, or extreme distance (kind of like my profile picture), etc. pictures! I'm all about being paranoid, but I want to share a little, too! So, there you go!! Enjoy!! :)
