No
Today I scraped off two small signs from my door, one that said " No Soliciting " and the other about Drug Testing.
They were here when we moved in two months ago and have been bugging me ever since.
Last night I posted on the Anthill about a business neighbor with a bunch of negative signs around their entrance.

I have found in my years in business ( 12 years with a retail store front and two years in an office / warehouse set up ) that the people your messages are meant for, never read them. Sadly you are just sending unintended warnings to innocent bystanders.

I confirmed my suspicions about my neighbor with the rental agent. My neighbor was having an ongoing parking lot battle with their next door neighbor. Also two of the signs affixed to the building were "illegal" and needed to be removed. I also found out that one of the owners was a "complete whacko". I made a mental note to keep my distance.

My #1 Business Advisor ( a.k.a. my husband ) once told me to always say yes! Yes, we can do that AND this is what it will cost you. Sometimes I am not able to fill a request AND I will offer them an alternative solution or suggestion(s).

As for the No Solicitations. Sales people never read those signs. I think it is an occupational hazard. To them it reads "Come on in, I'm a captive audience. Show me what a good salesperson you are." The rest of the world reads these signs, especially the " This Means You!"part as a warning to proceed with caution. (Think the Seinfeld Show - "Soup Nazi").

I like to turn the tables on uninvited salespeople. Show them how we can help their business. I've made quite a few sales that way. That'll teach 'em!

You will win friends and influence people by being nice.

Just say YES!
