I am sad today. I am not one of those who get starstruck or follow Hollywood. BUT I do respect some actors' work and contributions to film. Heath Ledger is among one of my favorites, because he didn't take the easy way in film. He didn't just accept hunky hollywood roles that would have set him for life. He chose roles that would expand him as a character...as a person.
I think he was very talented and amazing...and I'm sad. Any death at an early age is pitiful. What will really turn my sad into mad is if it comes to light that it was a suicide. They're saying it's not...that he was having severe sleep problems and simply overdosed himself on accident. What a loss for his daughter, his family, and his community.

I was so sad too. It's weird how the death of someone we don't really know can affect us so much, but there was something lovely about him, and like you said, he seemed to really care about 'acting' and stories, not just celebrity.

Yes, that was so incredibly sad that such a sweet and gentle spirit that he had was erased by Big Pharma...an overdose...they whitewash it as his fault...when really the fault lies with the drug companies. It's such a shame... If it was an herb of some kind that killed him, the media would have been calling for hearings, legislation to ban it, etc...but they won't do that to do the drug companies because they make billions of dollars. Heath Leader death is a tragedy that happens every single day across the USA. Such a shame...

I understand what you are saying. It is such a horrible loss for someone so young to die...remember River Phoenix? Add to the situation a child and a love unrequited and it is horrific in its true sense. I'm there with you for the loss. SG
