I got my hair cut recently and since then have had two people tell me I remind them of Katie Holmes.

Hmmmmm.

I'm trying to decide if this is a compliment.

On the one hand: cute, talented actress, adorable daughter.

On the other: FREAK SHOW HUSBAND. Questionable judgment.

Thoughts? Have you ever been compared to a celebrity that maybe wasn't the most flattering?

I can see a little Phoebe Cates in you - you're adorable! And thanks for the compliment. I do think she's cute; but they didn't necessarily say I looked like her. They said "you remind me of her." Which, yes, probably has to do with my appearance, but it did make me think, "OH dear, is my personal life a mess?" :-P

Oh, when I was in high school my friend's boyfriend thought I reminded him of Phoebe Cates (which was a HUGE compliment - you know the hot chick from Fast Times at Ridgemont?, but me, without the boobs)...she is still so beautiful and married to Kevin Kline now. I remind myself of that every so often ... now 25 years later LOL!

I think Katie Holmes is quite pretty and in some shots even beautiful. I would take it as a compliment; not the Stepford wife part of Katie, but the pretty, talented actress with the gorgeous daughter (who looks just like her I personally don't see it from your photos (did you get the short bob?) You're prettier, IMHO
