Hi there! I'm a thirtysomething, overprotective stay-at-home mom with a burning desire for attention. (Look at me! Read my thoughts!)

As I suspect it is for most bloggers, writing is an outlet for me. It helps me to vent my frustrations. And, if people happen to see it and comment on my struggles and triumphs, then so much the better! (Loves me some validation!)

I have been married for 8 years to a wonderful, handsome, extremely book smart (but not so life smart), loveably goofy, hardworking and loyal man (who also happens to be stubborn enough that I’d like to kick his butt several times daily.) (And also he’s an inch shorter than me. Ha!) Together, we have produced two of the cutest kids in the world. My son is 5 years old. He’s smart, funny, addicted to video games, extremely active (read: a total and complete spaz), and prone to wild, unpredictable mood swings. My daughter is 3 years old. She is also a total smarty-pants, funny, addicted to princesses, not-quite-so-active (she prefers to sit and read), and much more even-tempered. We recently built a new home and love it. We have two vehicles - a shiny, new SUV and a beat up old car. Because, apparently, there is no middle of the road here.

Things I love: my camera, summer, Butter Chicken, Cabbage Patch Kids, reading, throwing passive-aggressive tantrums when I’m upset, hanging out with my girlfriends, ice cream, thunder storms and sunglasses.

Things I hate: snobs, winter, seafood, Transformers (those things are harder to solve than a Rubik’s cube!), TV movies, other people throwing passive-aggressive tantrums, hanging out with strangers, dogs that bark in the middle of the night, PMS and really low-cut jeans.
