Joining Cre8Buzz: Part three of my Cre8Buzz experience.
Having sorted out a profile and familiarised myself with the community pages I thought it was about time I got out and about to see who was here and what they had to say for themselves.
The first thing I noticed when I started looking at peoples profiles was that look different to mine. They were all pretty and stuff and mine was just standard and dull. How is hells name did they do that? and then I found him Khenny was giving away codes for making your site all pretty! Yipee, but why did it have to be so hard to find and why isn’t being able to change colours and add background pictures etc part of your setup unless you know css? Grrrr.
So all prettied up I went out again to see how easy it was to interact with people...but wait a minute...what’s this? Everybody else has a contact me box on their profile and I don’t see one on mine. After a quick check of the code I can see that it is there but not showing up. I am left wondering if this is because you can’t see your own or a default in my template and with no way of knowing as I can’t view my template if I log out and there being no help section or FAQ section it looks like I might just have found my first reason to post a question to the community…I just hope that with it being all hidden out of the way people are actually reading it, umm, maybe a forum post is the way to go. Umm, a help section in the forum sure would be handy right about now…
With that taken care of it was back to communicating with my fellow community member. This part works well, viewing peoples profiles, seeing who they are, where they blog, looking at their photos is easy and user friendly, messaging people, adding them as friends, receiving messages etc is all very simple and easy to use and quite frankly anyone with used to emailing can do it. Thumbs up.
Speaking of emails, I am very please to see that you an option to stop receiving those annoying update emails, another huge thumbs up there!
I am starting to believe that this place could actually become a real community center rather than just another place for mindless idiots to spam and people to promote their blog.
You’ve almost got me hooked.
