Just a song I wrote and sung on a spur of the moment kind of thing... I had to listen to it to write down the lyrics lol (since it was all improv). The Santas all around You see them standing there You hear the jingling and you ignore them You can't help but think they're dishonest All you see are hobos in costumes When you see the santas at the mall You can't help but think Those children will be hurt when they discover reality Cause you forgot the meaning of Christmas Each year it means something it shouldn't You don't see the kindling of kindness in these people You don't see their efforts to bring smiles on You forget the meaning of Christmas Each year it isn't what it's supposed to be With all the things that happen in the world year-round It's hard to believe this one time a year they'd start being nice You don't see the beauty of Christmas You don't see those lights all bring hope You don't see they represent a child's smile If only you could bring back Christmas And when you see all those tv commercial You're sure that it's all a scam You tell yourself the toy companies put on a scheme that none of these children realize the gifts aren't necessary The meaning has been lost to money But surely someone somewhere would disagree You can still have a real christmas too But You forget the meaning of Christmas Each year it isn't what it's supposed to be With all the things that happen in the world year-round It's hard to believe this one time a year people'd start being nice With all hopes lost You only wish people would remember Christmas is about Christ However christmas is also about love the one families to to hold close you still only think the kindness is done by hypocrites they wouldn't be this nice all year but what you don't get is that humans forget and once a year they're reminded to bring it back
