Take socks, for instance. Socks are a marvel. I am struck dumb by awe at the sheer genius of pie. Not pii... pie. There are too many to mention, and we all pass them by everyday in order to embrace our current technological fixations, but wow, I love the wheel.

Excellent musings! Myself, I find wooden pencils to be tremendous tools. I prefer these and notebook paper over a laptop computer every time. Windows are another marvelous thing: they let in light without any trouble, but keep out chill, wind and pests. Simple things are great.
