About Me
I read, I write, I have one cat and one husband.
My writing has been published in magazines as varied as New Scientist, Hub, NewBooks Mag, Writers' Forum, New Pathways, Radio Times and Reader's Digest. I also have three collections of short stories in print.
I run writing workshops, for all levels from complete beginners to more experienced writers.
My husband is tall, dark and from Yorkshire. He's in the reading group I run at a local library. My cat is grey and white and she isn't in the reading group.

Hi Jay, I would not be happy on a trike. Its nothing like riding a bike. Basically a trike has all the disadvantages of both a car & a bike. You get stuck in traffic, trouble parking & get wet & cold. They also don't give the buzz that a bike does when its taking corners. There is an alternative I am looking at, it's called a Gilera Fuoco it's got fully automatic gears so I have all the controls on the handlebars & it will stay upright on it's own when it comes to a standstill. I've test ridden one and it rides just like a two wheeler but they are expensive & I don't know if I can justify the cost for what maybe just an extra one, possibly two years of riding. do a google search for Gilera Fuoco & you will see what it is. I haven't given in to this M.S. yet, In fact I have been out on the bike today & enjoyed it. I also found a place in our local town that for a £15 a year fee will let me park my bike and use a mobility scooter to get around the town. This is fantastic because up until now I could only go to town on the bike if I could park right close to where I wanted to go. Now I can go anywhere I want to when i get there. This has cheered me up no end. When things get so difficult it gets yo depressed and you feel like throwing in the towel. How long have you had MS Jay & are you having trouble with mobility as well.
