It is not a novel idea to write about one's first year in real estate, so I go back and forth about whether to put my thoughts/experiences down for other and future newbies to enjoy. However, I worry that my thoughts would be controversial, not to mention the "what does she know" mentality of those who discount newbies (you know, the ones who discard the importance of the internet!). There's humor everywhere (hello, do you really think just 'doing time' in RE for 20 years means you are an exceptional agent??) and disappointment (where is that Cowboy in real estate I'd love to partner up with in every sense of the word?). Would I get in trouble for saying I have been SHOCKED that some agencies DO NOT have the best interests of the clients in mind when they throw newbies out of the nest to work with clients just because they have a license?
