Deployed, tired, feeling like i'm 40, and ready to start the fun stuff. Hi, the name's Troy, i'm a young soldier of the U.S. Army, currently deployed in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. You don't hear much about us over here, but the threat is just as bad here as is in Iraq. You may wonder what a person goes through on a day to day basis, well i'll tell you from my perspective, you just have to read my blogs for updates on my life on Deployment. It's not easy, it's actually like prison with better food. There is more b.s. than 10 people can shake a stick at. Work days are very long, the sun beats down on you without mercy, and the work never ends. There is always something that needs to be done. Aside from all this, please say hello sometimes, it's nice to know somebody cares. It keeps our minds out of depression. Peace.
