Located in Atlanta, Georgia, USA (via Massachusetts and Iowa), Dr. Heidi is a humanities Ph.D., discourse analyst, wife/mom, progressive liberal, writer, teacher, poet, researcher, webmaster and spiritual eclectic (former Jehovah’s Witness).
Fond of stimulating conversation, walking under moonlight, writing, reading, singing, snuggling, playing the piano, debating, and taking photographs - but not necessarily in that order.
Averse to violence, abuse, destructiveness, totalitarian/authoritarian attitudes and methods, mold, mustard greens, and cleaning floors.
All of these are attempts at labeling my identity. While I’ve chosen identity markers that I like, these “identity groups” may attract or repel you - or exist entirely outside your interest zones. What makes me different from others who may share the similar “labels” is difficult to articulate, but if you think about it, even the people with whom you have the most in common are significantly different than you.
If you’ve ever heard an outstanding eulogy, you know that classification labels can’t capture what is unique, important and memorable about any one of us.
Trouble is a great track, isn't it? Really their whole album- all of their albums- are fabulous. But, of course, great minds and all that... :) Oh! And your new (to me) profile picture is gorgeous!!!!
