With twenty-nine years of life on the planet, TEN (Holy FREAKOUT when the hell did THAT HAPPEN?!?!) years ofmarriage, seven years of motherhood, six years of post-college work outside the home, and one year of graduate school under my belt, you'd think I would be some kind of guru to do it all - at least that is what they (real people, not the voices) tell me.

But most days, I wonder when I will have to say, "Pay no attention to the [wo]man behind the curtain!"

Social justice is my passion. My kiddos are my life. My confidence in western medicine has waned, proportionate to the number of times my pediatrician assured me my daughter was "normal," when in fact she has sensory processing issues. I'm smart, sassy, and irreverent...and a literal redheaded step-child, in more than one way.
