Here's a little bloggy poll... when you post a comment to someone's blog, would you rather:
- He/she reply to the comment on their site
- E-mail you a personal response
- My comment doesn't need a reply
Just curious what you all thought.

I don't expect a reply on a comment I make unless I'm asking a question. I do try to reply to most comments on my own blog with a personal email though. Good poll.

I comment back on my own blog when I can. I usually let the conversation go for a bit before I do though. I like to see a variety before I respond. Why do I do this? I want topic/conversation to stay together on my blog. I think it would get confusing if I responded back on other people's blogs. I comment at other blogs based on their topics. I don't need a comment back unless I totally inspire you, which probably will never happen. Don't think I could ever do the email thing, might be hard to find emails for everyone that comments.

I do the personal email thing. I usually go comment on the person's blog also. I've not had the chance to email as much lately. This was a good blog idea.

I usually try to go to their blog and leave comments. But if the comment the person left really needs a response, I email. I figure most people don't check back for comments so they won't get my reply otherwise.

place a comment on the blog...let other's see the interaction and participate..its a great way to get a conversation going! My own personal preference.

I like the comment box, and the email feature. I think it is nice to leave a comment if you visit a sight..otherwise it like being totally ignored. So leaving a comment however way is my vote.

I am with Nolanotes, I try to go on that person's blog and read their posts and leave a comment if I can, or if not contact them on here and say, hey thanks for stopping by my blog.

I don't need a reply, but if a question is asked, it's nice. I sometimes check back. Of course, I think it's nice to get a comment in return. Then there are the superpolite hostesses like Miss Kimmylyn, who always send you a personal thankyou in the email. She's too cute! Those always make me feel special! Maybe I'll strive to be more like her..

For me, I don't expect for comments that I leave on one's blog to get a reply (unless I ask a question or something that would require a response). Personally, I don't always respond to comments on my blog. If I do, I tend to leave it as another comment, or an e-mail if my response is personal. Instead of responding to my commentors, I try to go the commentors' own blogs and read and comment on their own posts. So, I guess my answer is (d)!

LOL, well I guess it would depend. A reply on the specific post's comments or even better, a comment at my place? Sometimes I will leave comments(replies) at their blog and their profile at say cre8 or BC etc...

I almost always check back places I've commented to see if the blogger's put something in the comments answering me. I like that, even tho there's a few bloggers I love getting the emails from the few special folks who send them also.

i always like to respond via personal email. but however people want to contact me is fine with me. whatever their preference is (because i have the notify me feature on, i don't have to go back and look at all the blogs i commented on). i wouldn't make the time for it if not for the "notify me" feature. what do you like tara? signed your favorite beany :) hehe

I like the idea of a personal note, but i get it a lot of work, so the notifiy me feature is nice!

a personal response is always fun, because I forget to check back if you leave a comment. But I usually don't need a reply.
