Hi, I'm Melanie, a 30-something stay-at-home mom and home educator. Yes, homeschooler, in the current venacular. I have two children; a son, age 12-going-on-30 and a daughter, age 9-going-on-19. Since there is no such thing as immaculate conception any more, yes, there's a Dad here too, my wonderful husband who is a great provider, father and love of my life. There's also a rather nutty 16 1/2 year old cat in the mix, just to give us more to laugh at.
We recently moved, so I'm still in the process of adjusting my whole life - the last time I moved was when we got married! We moved to a beautiful college town and even though it's one of the two biggest colleges in the state, the area is still small and rural and it is SO pretty here compared to where we used to live. We're really liking it here.
