Description:
I have been on the 'London Eye' several times during daylight, but have never been on at night. During this weekend's trip to London I decided to treat myself and have a look. The sights were wonderful, the whole horizon was glistening with twinkling lights. The reason I have selected this photograph for the December photo assignment is that I think it captures "Contrast" in several ways. Firstly, "Old and New" - The contrast between St Paul's Cathedral (designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1673) against the Skyscrapers of todays modern age. Secondly, "Light and Dark" - St Paul's Cathedral has been floodlit so that it's wonderful architecture stands out at night against the backdrop of the surrounding city of London.

Nice one, haven't been up on it yet but fear deja vu after seeing it in so many dramas. Not seen a night shot though. Where do you live? Frewin
