As I look as this blank piece of paper in front of me, I am in awe of my daughter who seems to be able to write so easily and with such clarity about the subject she is focused on at the time. I know writers sometimes have writer's block, but I seem to have it all the time.
As I continue to look at this page, which I see now has a few words written down, I still have no idea on what subject I should start off with in this Blog. As the minutes go by while I deliberate my dilemma, I am pondering on - should I mention my love of travel, and safaris in particular, or my volunteering efforts both here in Scotland and with wildlife in Africa? Then of course there is my love of photography, which sometimes gets in the way of actually seeing the place you are visiting. I then start to think to myself, who would really be interested in me anyway.(Long Pause !!!)
Hell that's so negative, and I am not having that.

This morning I got out my new recipe book "Cooking for Birds" and managed to get Lard and Peanut butter all over me and everywhere else in my kitchen, before putting my efforts that I had carefully moulded into a tray, and once cooled, into the fridge to harden up.
I have developed a very keen interest in my garden birds since my busband died 4 years ago, and it is just recently that I bought the book about making up food for the birds. However I am not totally convinced that it is time well spent. In view of the fact that what I have made up gets eaten in a day, and the birds are looking for more. I mean do I really want to be tied to kitchen sink, up to my elbows in peanut better every day? Devour the stuff is what the birds do. So I must be doing something right.......
Oh well I am now off on a night of nostalgia - a Tribute concert for the Rock band Queen. A crowd of us are going in a bus, having a meal and then on to dance at our seats in the Concert Hall, which I might add is renown for its more up market productions like "The Taming of the Shrew"
So I am away off to get ready to party.......

The concert sounds like a lot of fun! And the birds, well, they sound like teenagers.
