I'm starting a 9-day cleansing diet today. It's two days of fasting, 5 days of meal replacement shakes and limited calories, then two more days of fasting. Yikes.
My goal in doing this is to see quick results and rid my body of its addiction to sugar. I've tried exercise and eating in moderation... but I seem to just eat the wrong foods moderately. And then, not so moderately. If I have a specific program to follow - and it's just 9 days - I know I can do it and see results, which will hopefully motivate me to eat better once the program is over. You know how you feel when you lose some weight and your body feels good? You're less likely to put crap into it.
