Be Seen, Be Heard, Be Found? Posted 9 months ago

Ok! I have to admit, when I was invited to cre8buzz, I felt quite honored, but really wasn't sure what it was all about. I'm still not sure! Based on the cre8buzz credo, (used as this title) I joined up! I received a very warm welcome from other members, and soon received an email telling me I was moved into #2 position. How did this happen? Who made this happen, and why did it happen? Who is "seeing me, hearing me and finding me?"

I have snooped around quite a bit, but I guess I still don't get it. How is this helping me be seen, heard and found? My profile here doesn't show up on google or yahoo, folks have to be invited to get in, and posting to your blog here is limited to text and photos or graphics with no user tools or interface.

Don't get me wrong, I like the concept of the invitation only "Buzz", I'm just not seeing the value or the benefits yet. Why would I want to invite other very busy and successful REALTORS® to this site? What's in it for them? Someone please tell me what I am missing here so that I can get going down the right road. Right now, I feel lost and don't know how anything ranks, rates, or rolls here.

I hope someone will find my "message in a bottle" and prove that the title of this post and the credo of Cre8buzz is for real and legit? Why oh why am I here?
Any comments would be appreciated by any member of any group who can help "Show Me The Value!"

Antman, thanks for the flavors and vision! I like it and I'm on Board with ya! Your comment was worth the wait, thanks!! You should have your vision for cre8buzz on the index.htm homepage for this site. Everyone of the hearts and souls here needs to know your vision, then we can share it and help make it happen. I have watched and been a part of the growth on A/R and witnessed it tripling in size over the past 6 months. I think you have a unique site and vision for the buzz. Let me know what I can do to help. I'd love to share some ideas that may or may not be of any value. Thanks for your comment and for really helping me to understand and get answers for some of my questions here. B-)

Great question bro. Great question. So, here is the short and sweet. We called it cre8Buzz because we believe that if ya got good stuff, it deserves to be rated. If ya ratings are high, then your should be ranked accordingly. The higher your ranking the closer you move up your community home page, therefore getting more exposure by being on the home page. If ya really good, you move up to the segment home page, getting even more exposure, finally if ya can make it all the way to the top page, getting the ultimate exposure. Our premise was to move the most popular people, and individual content out into the open. EX: Just yesterday Squiffy posted this on his cre8Buzz blog: http://www.cre8buzz.com/profiles/847/blogs/5498/blog_entries/14847 It got Stumbled and shot up to the number 6 overall buzzrank post, (400 views in a day) this also shot his buzzrank up to number 12. Great exposure for his blog and all his stuff. Ya ask some good questions, I think there are two things working against us right now. One, we are still young and small. Therefore the traffic of non users is low, chicken and the egg thing is killin' us. Two, it takes work, I don't think everyone wants to venture out regularly and meet folks, which in turn brings people to there page and drives views, high ratings and exposure. At the end of the day we wanted to increase the chance of something going viral; thus the better placement for better rankings. We rank everything so if ya profile doesn't make it to the top, a picture can, or a blog post can, or ya posted blog can, like tentacles reaching out. Anything that makes it to a top pae will bring in more viewers, which "IF" ya got good stuff will keep em coming back, which in turn gets ya more views, and drives a higher ranking, which in turn gets more exposure, etc, you get. We will be improving the features and adding more functionality to the blogs, adding RSS feeds, etc. Our vision; imagine having 55k people in Real Estate like A/R, Imagine 25k people in Mom's like Maya'sMoms, imagine 250k people in photography like flicker (ok they have more than that), imagine 30k in writing, 20k in comedy, 300k in music, imagine all those talented people living right next door to one another just a click away, rather than scattered around the net, now imagine that with just a clicks of a button you could see what was best in each of the communities immediately, the best tune in music, the best blog in Real Estate, the best picture photography, the best recipe in cooking, the best short story in writing. How cool would a place like that be! So that is our vision. Hang in there with us, we'll get there. Ok, maybe not so short and sweet! Thanks dawg! We love these posts! Peace!

Ok...2 days now and no sign of anyone here. Where does this posy show? I don't think it does! Can I find it with Google or Yahoo? No! Have you found it yet? If so, how? My jury is starting to deliberate here, wonder if there's a defense attorney around here to try and save the day!! LOL! hmmmm...

15 hours later, no way of telling if this post ends up on a dashboard somewhere, if other members know it's posted, or if it will ever be found. I'll keep tracking it to see what happens after time, then I can share with others how it all works.....that is if anyone is listening or cares!
