Two days of Cyber Pros, three days of crawling around the Venetian Hotel for the NAR convention has left me exhausted. Not missing an event and traipsing through 660 vendors is very difficult!
I ended up buying a few things. The CRM system from http://www.thewiseagent.com appears to be sweet. I haven't had a minute to work with it yet, but am anxious to do so.
My other purchases are not all the notable. Although I must say my hubby would love to lease the moving truck with the enormous LCD sign on the side. hahaha!
Attending sessions at the N.A.R. Convention in Las Vegas today. My day was full of empowering lectures and ideas. My favorite was the session by Seth Godin, of The Purple Cow fame.
Seth spoke to us about changing our focus and looking for the defining differences that will make us stand out. His real world examples were quite compelling.
I love sessions like this where you come away filled with a positive attitude and a new direction. Seth was worth the price of admission.
A group of us Twittered comments. If you would like to read our stream of consciousness, check out my Tweets on Twitter! :)

Last night Las Vegas put on an unusual show for us Realtors. At 2:30 a.m. they imploded the Frontier Hotel. Luckily we had a perfect view from our hotel window. Larry woke me up at 2:28, just in time for the fireworks to start.
Yes, fireworks at 2:28 a.m! Most people around here don't sleep. The fireworks finaled with a countdown in lights on the side of the Frontier. Ending with a couple of explosions and down came the building.
A huge cloud of dust enveloped the area.
All the fireworks and hoopula could not erase the anchors in my mind. The last time I watched something like this was on 9-11.
I felt very sad.
Tomorrow is the beginning of my 2 day meeting with the CyberProfessionals. This is a group of Realtors who got together initially back in the mid 90's online. Well actually we called in "online" then but it really wasn't. We had dial up then so we would log on, down load our messages and read/respond off-line.
This group was born from that very first "online" social networking experience. Isn't it amazing to think they are still going strong after all these years?
Tomorrow I have the priviledge to present the topic of "Social Networking" to them. I've just finished sprucing it up, now I must grab some shut-eye.
In a nutshell I am overwhelmed by the amount of social networking sites on the web. It seems they are currently exploding with activity. The hardest part is finding the right one to invest your time and energy.
Is Cre8buzz the one?
What a trip! We drove over from Colorado, through the not so snow covered mountains, over the dry desert to Lost Wages. Along the way we stopped to tour Zion National Park, a worthy side trip indeed!
I'm looking forward to attending the Cyber Pros meeting and seeing all my friends from across the country.
Monday night the fun (and work) starts for the National Association of Realtors convention. More networking, socializing and fun in store.
For now it's time to search out some lunch (before dinner time!). Treasure Island is huge, I believe they should provide a GPS for navigation instead of a map!
So much for my first post on this site. More to follow later, with pictures for sure!
Cheers,
kk
