The real estate SEO community has started a contest, well it has been going since early Feb 08, and it is to see who can rank for the term "greatest real estate agent in the world". The term in itself is not that important, I'm mean who real really knows if that term is searched or has any value outside the contest.

Either way it is fun to see whose SEO skills are the best and who has the best resources to deploy. My vote is for Eric on Search, http://www.ericonsearch.com/greatest-real-estate-agent-in-the-world-your-name-here/, as the Greatest Real Estate Agent in the World.

I have seen many contests across the many different networks I participate in. One of the first was on the MSN Spaces social network and from those it spawned the Spaces Hall of Fame space, http://spaces-hall-of-fame.spaces.live.com/.

Even industry specific social professional sites like ActiveRain.com has had contests showcasing members and their skills and as a way to give back to the community which made them great in the first place. Even cre8Buzz was involved in a contest not to far back, can't find the link.

I am anxious to see how this one turns out and to see who is on top of Google for the Greatest Real Estate Agent in the World come May 1, 2008.
