Description:
Scott explores the difference between quality and quantity when it comes to social networking. Also, a special mention of Minz's profile page. The question this week has to do with whether or not you like music to start automatically playing when you go to someone's profile page. As always, please leave a comment, rank the video and have a Merry Christmas.

OMG I am stunned Scott - Thanks so much for your kind comments. I am so pleased that you enjoyed doing the rounds on my blog, and thank you for taking the time to do so. Thanks to everyone else as well. I think your point on getting to 'know' someone is excellent and I intend to make that my new year's resolution. As for music I have to say I would rather turn it on.

I'm torn on the music subject. I don't mind it on personal pages, but I dislike it on professional pages. I think it's because when I'm at a personal page then I'm usually on down-time and I'm just relaxing and having a good time, but if I'm visiting professional pages then I am usually working and there for a reason and I find the music distracting. I absolutely hate it when people have music and I can't figure out how to turn it off. I will just usually leave.

i guess, music should always be optional...

I like hearing the music when I open the page. Yeah, it can be a pain, if I am already listening to something BUT, I have found and purchased at least two tunes I discovered from someones profile, that I NEVER would have found otherwise. There you have it, my honest answer! Great show, I look forward to seeing them continue.

I actually like the music playing, b/c I like to hear different people's taste and choices in song. But to me it's not a big issue. Great video my friend! Peace and Merry Christmas to you!!!

Well done again, glad to see that you did not get into a wreck trying to do a show while driving. Re: Music, well as one who has music playing upon entry I guess I would have to say that I like it. I do try to pick things that have an intro that is not in your face though. I would be far less likely to get exposed to something I had not heard before if I had to go around clicking play to hear the tunes on people's profiles, and to me that is one of the cool things about it - exposure to new sounds. Merry Christmas! See ya around!!

Once again Scott, excellent show. I really like your intro music, I think I've said that before :) Good advice on how to get to know someone...by really spending time exploring everything in their profile and adding comments... I personally prefer to turn on the music rather than it playing immediately...but it isn't really that big of an issue.

If I LIKE the music, I don't mind (same as pulling up to a stoplight with the windows down, I guess). Overall though, as long as I can find the player easily (and maybe discover some new "favorite" music), I'd rather be turning it on myself than jumping for the "mute". (Ditto on Minz)

I like the music, but sometimes, on some pages the music is extremely loud and I think it takes away from the experience. I would prefer to choose to listen or not, or at least have the option, if available, to turn down the volume. I also agree that Minz' s page is great.

Great show Scott! I hope everyone will answer this question...honestly! I'd like to know if my music is annoying for sure ;) Love the location, and your Eskimo Joes shirt! Minz is awesome...well done!
