I have to bake cookies for my daughter's winter festival. I work from home so I can do anything my daughter's school needs...I can say no to many things but I will never say no to school related activites.

But I should have said NO to being cookie manager! Now I am praying that I don't have to bake and bake and bake and remake cookie batters until I make enough for the 5 kids in my group to sell on Saturday! Thankfuly my husband will help me.

Many years ago, we owned an African Gray. For those of you who aren't familar with this type of bird, they can imitate sounds and voices perfectly after hearing it in repetition many times. I would walk into the kitchen and the bird would make the smoke alarm sound!!!

When my daughter was three, she once asked me if the smoke alarm sounds everytime someone walks into the kitchen. I told her no and THEN she asked Why it always goes off when I walk into the kitchen!

So you can see I am NOT known for my cooking or baking skills. So far no visits from the fire department and no one has starved or died from eating (or not eating) my food.
