Fingers freely caress
As the maestro reels my mind,
Deft strokes draw in deep breath
Each note our souls entwine,
Pleasure intensifies
Mastery performance, pure passion
His tempo lulls slowly we sink
Deeper, to lower depths
Summoned to some other realm.
I am touched as he reaches
Inside my soul so cold
And we slide till we soar
Effortlessly he glides allegro
Emotions stir, embraced hearts beat,
We quiver rhapsodic
Shivers, the grande finale,
I plead for an encore
(breathless)
My eyes well up and close
To echoes of silence.

Y'know, kid, I just got a little 'frisson', (I think that is the French for 'goosebumps', as I had the epiphany that Pianoforte was the inspiration for a piece I did sometime ago, I think I called in, "Slow Dancing all by Herself". I shall have to revisit that and perhaps share it here. So much contained here, the ability of music to uplift and take us to another place; to hint at sharing the most intimate and intense emotions, if only in the mind. And I too, plead for an encore! Bravo! Amicus...
