Different parents have different opinions on paying their kids for helping around the house. Some feel that it is a way for their kids to learn that money needs to be earned while others believe kids should not be paid as it is part of their duties to help keep the house clean.

I used to think earlier
That making friends in the world of cyber
Is the activity of a teenager
And not the past time of a 30+ year old mother
That was before I discover
There’s this thing in the world called a blogger
Who can rant, rave, scream or just blabber
About the cat, the devil or whatever
It was still fine until this October
When I found Blog Catalog as a net surfer
Started blog hopping and becoming a regular commenter
Then, OMG cre8buzz came into the picture
And my time on the net has become so much longer
That I’m starting to have a love-hate relationship with my computer
So, if there is another BC, cre8buzz or something similar
I don’t want to know about it ever
Because if I’m going to get hooked on another
I would have no time for my poor toddler!

I’m new around here
Invited by Joe who’s such a dear
Currently lonely I appear
Haven’t created a buzz to get people near.

But creating a buzz has never been my career
Neither am I a writer or some high-tech engineer
So, how do I make a name in blog sphere
When all I do is babble about myself, I fear.

Anyway, I think I shall persevere
‘Coz cre8buzz is another forum that my poems can appear
And if I can make one or two friends who’re sincere
That in itself would be worth many a cheer.
