It is finally here ... spring break! Since returning to college in July, 2007, it is clear why students across the blogasphere count the days until it arrives ... to SLEEP! I finally stopped studying, reading assignments, doing research, and writing papers long enough to realize how sleep deprived I am. I slept most of Tuesday and Wednesday. It was wonderful ... so wonderful. In fact, I am watching the clock now counting the hours until I can put my little head on my little pillow again.

Grades have been posted. A, B, in Finance and an Incomplete in Project Management - not to worry, 2 assignments to turn in and be graded (with my Professor's blessing) and then I hope another B, of course, if I get an A I'll keep it! I have been contacted by the Career Center, bet you never thought that would happen. One of the perks of attending AIU. They help us with everything - resumes, job fairs, recommendations and more. I am so glad I decided to return to school and that my choice was/is AIU. I love it!

Every instructor has a doctorate or is in the process of obtaining one, which increases the vocabulary, that alone is challenging (JK)! It does give confidence in the quality of the education we are receiving. The material is current and is applied to actual work force applications and usually the courses build one on another. Each course has been challenging especially with the intense, fast pace they all keep. Each course is completed in a five week session, with most students in the AABA program taking two courses each five weeks. This is the choice I made, also. Tough, YES ... regrets, NO.

I will complete this first "leg" of my journey in July, 2008. I will have earned 98 credit hours by then, I hope with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Not bad for a 58 year old, SAHM, mother of four grown daughters and married to a very understanding and supportive husband of thirty-three years. Plans? Still considering my options, I want my BA. For now, this week - spring break - I want sleep more!
