Coop's cre8Buzz Blog
Yes, you heard it here from your personal trainer. "Eat like crazy on Super Bowl Sunday."
I'm sure you've seen the articles on "healthy choices on the big game day" and so forth. "Eat celery sticks instead of buffalo wings, etc.." These type of articles drive me nuts!
I say...."Go for it!" Enjoy your friends, enjoy the game...and enjoy the food.
One day is not the reason that you are overweight...it's the other six.
Why not start a new tradition tomorrow. Eat whatever you desire, then before you go to sleep, plan on how you will start on Monday morning eating clean. Tuesday through Saturday you will eat clean until you reach Sunday when you can go wild again.
Something tells me that by the next Sunday, you won't be so anxious to overload your system with crap.
Try it, and let me know how it goes...I bet you drop a couple of pounds.
I actually started a e-newsletter before blogs in which I could communicate with my clients and friends. In being a fitness trainer for over 13 years, I've seen people scammed over and over. It could be the magic diet pill, or the ab-blaster machine. Unfortunately with great marketing and the right celebrity endorsement, anything can sell. Can you say "Thigh Master"?
I've frequently tell my clients that I could sum up all of the "secrets" to losing weight and being fit and write it on one Post It note.
Here are the secrets.
Eat as close to natural as possible.
Train hard.
Get enough sleep.
It may sound too simplistic, but there is absolutely no escaping that these are the keys.
The more you try to analyse it such as percentages of carb, fats, proteins, measuring grams, and so on and so on, you'll come up with excuses.
Look at your own situation. Maybe give yourself a score.
Now, do something about it.
If I can be of any help, please leave me a comment, or post on my regular site.
Best,
Stephen
