Ok, we knew it was coming eventually, someone was gonna have something less than positive to say about cre8Buzz. Who knew it would be our biggest review to date? Mashable, Ooouucch! That SUCKS!

Well, we’re gonna take it like grown ants. We’ve always said, we are a few average cats who have an idea and are working like crazy to make it worth somethin’ to all ya’ll.

All in all Mashable’s review wasn’t devastating; the Headline was probably the most brutal: “cre8Buzz Won’t Get You Any.” Dang that hurts!

What did the folks at Mashable have to say? Well; they liked the community concept: “The good thing about this type of organization is that it helps for searching purposes, and site visitors.” This is a good thing, especially if ya think viewers will play a big role in drivin’ buzz. But this is pretty much where the love ends. They went on to say that they felt we did not have enough ways for folks to share content: “no subscription options for user content, and few options for viewing an individual’s personal network, such as their favorites section.” Here is the funny part, we agree with em. It hurts to have someone tell ya you ain’t as good as ya think, but we would be liars if told you different. We definitely have a way to go in this area. Our next update will have a few of these things, such as a way to view each others favorites and send to a friend (share) both in cre8Buzz or outside of the buzz. But, we know we got a long way to go. Ya can expect to see many more content sharing improvements with in the next several releases including “Buzzcast.”

It can be hard at times to get smacked in the mouth with criticism; especially when you are pouring your heart and soul into every aspect to the effort. However, when we sit back and take a good hard look at things, it is reviews like this that we need. It is good, honest, hit you in the mouth feedback that get’s ya real with things. It is reviews like this that allow us to see where we can improve. It gives us insight on what we can’t see. Feedback like this is invaluable.

Like we have done with all ya’ll. We’re listenin’. Mashable’s got a good point. We’re gonna add the things they suggested; but more importantly we are gonna be more innovative. We’re gonna find ways to do it better. We’re gonna ask the tough questions. What can we do that doesn’t exist? How can we do things different?

Our goal; build the best darn site to get our users exposure, and interact in a smart, engaging manner with fun intelligent people with similar interests. We believe that at the end of the day; what makes a social network is it’s people. It is for this reason we believe we are headed in the right direction because we have all ya’ll. Ya’ll have gotten us this far and you have created one of the slamminest sites on the net. Ya’ll are the most rockin’ folks in the world and Mashable made no mention of that.

. . . pat, swoosh, pat, shoosh, pat!

That is the sound of us wipin’ off our jeans and gittin’ back on the horse.

Thanks ya’ll

Peace, I’m out!!!

Chin up guys, you have to have a thick skin to survive in any kind of business that exposes you to the public. You have a lot of us behind you who are sticking by because we truly believe in what you are doing. Don’t do it for the critics, do it for your users- they are the heart and soul of Cre8buzz.

Ditto to absolutely every word of Sub Ob’s comment. Also, I love that you are talking about this, rather than hiding from it, and that you’re open-minded enough to hear their suggestions rather than just getting your feelings hurt. Just one more reason for me to adore you guys.

Don’t forget that’s what a beta-testing period is all about too!!!! It’s not like you’ve gone live with things as they are - you’re beta-testing and developing as you go. You’re doing a fine job, you’re listening to what people want and adding as you go. Slow and steady is better than rushing into adding everything at once and then finding that the coding for each part causes problems later on!

ditto everything above. You are doing a great job and we all appreciate how hard you are working. Reviews like this happen and you are treating it the right way. You are being open and honest about it and are looking at what they say thinking “how can we improve from here” and not just sticking your heads in the sand.

Keep going guys!
