Tag, I’m it! Ev Nucci (http://evnucci.wordpress.com) tagged me in a magazine meme (http://www.andybeal.com/2007/04/meme-what-magazines-do-you-read.html) that was started by Andy Beal (http://www.andybeal.com/) and make sure everyone you tagged does the same? Its the only way his meme counts and you are forever enshrined as is everyone else in the magazine meme hall of fame! Thanks a million. I just got my hands spanked for not following directions! (joking)
I’m thinkin this ain’t a bad meme. To my girls point, ya can tell a lot about what magazines someone reads, beyond just in the Dr.’s office. Unlike books, they are quick, easy and to the point. Magazines take less time than books, they are less daunting and in many cases easier to absorb info. So, I am interested in knowing what people read. I am also interested in knowin’ what’s in peoples medicine cabinet. Maybe I should start a medicine cabinet meme. Whadda ya think?
Anyways, here ya go ya’ll, my magazines in no order;
People
US
National Enquirer
The Globe
Naaaaaah I’m bustin!
Really,
1. Time
2. Newsweek
3. National Geographic
4. Fortune
5. Forbes
6. Vanity Fair
7. GQ
8. The Economist
9. and of course like all of the rest of the world . . . Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition (my wife buys it for me, I got a good wife!)
There you have it. What does that tell ya about me?! I know all ya’ll are a bunch of amateur shrinks, have at me!
Ok, to pass this baby on. I wanna know what Cord Silverstein at Marketing Hipster Reads, I wanna know what Divya Utman at Blogging to Fame gobbles up, I wanna know what Chris Hooley at Thinkbait has next to his john, I wanna know what camille crawford at NOW entertains herself with, and I wanna know what Paul O’Flaherty of O’Flaherty reads to strech his brain. Tag ya’ll are it.

Antman,
That is too cool! I should have started mine with National Enquirer & Globe too! I’m ROTLMAO. I’ll never forget flying with some joker who actually bought that stuff.! He read all the way to Chicago. I was amazed. I never knew anybody in my life who actually read that. Now if that’s what you want to read that’s OK. I just didn’t know anybody who read that stuff. Until I sat next to this joker!
That’s so nice your wife buys you the swimsuit edition. Don’t tell my husband. Lets keep it a secret between you and me. What my husband doesn’t know won’t hurt him! Hey, I bought him Sports Illustrated. What else do you want? Thanks so much for doing the meme! You’re a great pal Antman!

Thanks for the tag Antman. An interesting meme… Yes, I’d agree that a lot can be told about a person by the things they read!

Hi Antman,
I saw your link at Camille’s and will share my short magazine list with you. I can’t resist flipping through People magazine in my Doctor’s office. I have been known to cruise Oprah’s book lists for in the supermarket. Yes, a theme is developing here. I get old ART magazines from library book sales for pictures. I haven’t bought a magazine in years. About three years ago I had subscriptions to 3 literary journals and don’t know if they count. I collect catalogs for performing arts events as I like to keep up on what’s happening. Twlya Tharp is going to be big this fall although I don’t care for the Sinatra suites myself. Well, hope this helps your research and it does seem like a fun thing to do.
Bye
