Winners vs Losers
Popularity: 13%
I’ve spent a lot of time talking to ya’ll about stickyness, gittin your message out there, gittin exposure, word of mouth marketing, just plain ole becoming the bomb. However, I was just recently hit by an interesting thought . . . commitment. Yup, commitment. At the end of the day, gittin where ya want comes down to commitment, perseverance, drive, willingness to stay the course, thick skin and then even more. I’ve seen bloggers quit after just few months, I’ve seen Mybloglog profiles flat out abandoned after a few months. Folks, just kickin their hard work to the curb. I’ve seen it all, and it never changes forget all the marketing, forget all the books, forget all the advice, forget it all. It all comes down to bein’ a winner.
Winners vs. Losers:
Winners never quit, never give up, never say I can’t
Losers do and blame others
Winners are in it for the passion
Losers are in it for the money, the fame and the records
Winners would do it for free and sometimes do
Losers don’t do it unless they get something in return
Winners bring people along with them
Losers step on people to get there
Winners don’t ask for the spotlight
Losers demand it
Winners ask how can I make impact
Losers don’t care
Winners know what they are good at and focus on what they aren’t
Losers don’t see their weaknesses and let you know how great they are
Winners give when they have nothing, and give more when they have everything
Losers take when they have nothing and take even more when they have everything
Winners are in it for the long haul
Losers are in it until it gets hard
Winners are guided
Losers are lost
Winners win
Losers . . . well ya know!

Well put. When I began the Zingerding Blog, I knew I was getting into it for the long haul. Blogging isn’t a short term decision. Otherwise, one might as well write on paper.
Commitment is actually easy to pull off if you have the right stuff in place. Discipline and passion are the fuel to stay the course.

Nice motivation. I do think its very easy to giveup especially after you see the visitors on others blogs and not yours. Its important to understand that they got here after a lot of years.
Good that you put it on paper.
I didnt understand this line though”I’ve seen Mybloglog profiles flat out abandoned after a few months.” What kind of a profile do users initially have? is their a way to spice it up?

Basketer — The MBL avatars are handled by a Wordpress plugin called MyAvatars. Someone posted instructions on how to do something similar with Blogger here:

I’ve never tried it on Blogger, so I don’t know how easy it is to get working.
