monitors. Gotcha ya! I’m in Vegas baby, at the Consumer Electronics Show and this place is kickin! It is jammin with all kinds of crazy gadgets. But, check it. There is something else here, that baffles me. Sex, I know, I’m in Vegas. But I mean Sex on the convention floor. I bet, (unscientifically) that 35 to 40 percent of the exhibitors are using women, young, scantily clad, buxom, women to promote, lure and entice, visitors into their boobs . . . uh I mean BOOTHS. I don’t get it. What is the message? What does a pair of silicone implants have to do with headphones, computers, VOIP, T.V.’s ETC. I don’t know. I guess, maybe AMD and Intel can make the silicon connection, but that is it. Does it really work? Do exhibitors get more sales, or just more traffic. By having these women, and let me be clear there are no men playing this role, what does it say about how companies attract attention? I am not sure, but it must work. It is prevalent at most conventions and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

We are all looking to get eyeballs. Attention, exposure, “eyeballs” is the name of the game today. Getting people to notice you, give you their attention is where the game is won and lost. Unfortunately, too many people play the game poorly. Don’t be one of them. Focus on your content, your product and most importantly your customers, readers and “talkers”. YOUR product, not HER product is your story, keep it that way!

You’ve become my morning pep talk! I wake up each day, eager to read about what little common-sense tid bits you have to share. Luckily for me, I feel like I can be myself and attract a fair amount of readers to my blog. Good thing, ’cause this mom sure doesn’t have *those* kind of goods, if you know what I mean ;-)

Although you never see them mentioned in the Search Engines’ “Top Searches” list, s@x and anything related is always at the top. Marketers know that too ;).
