Yesterday I innocently opened the trunk in the office that holds the kids’ shoes & backpacks from school when this rotten stench came flying out - ugh! As soon as I looked down I knew it had to be Sissy’s fault. Her & that lunch box of hers! Imagine…food stuffed in there since school let out for summer break?? I threw it & Bubby’s back pack out on the floor and quickly shut the lid. “Sis!” I said, “Come take care of this stinkin’ lunchbox you left in here!” *growl*. A few moments later she says,
“Mom! You wouldn’t BELIEVE how many gnats just flew out of my lunch box!”
Know how hard it is to catch a gnat? How ’bout 50?

LOL!!! Boy, that made me laugh - took me right back to when my boys were school-age, and my oldest would toss his brown bag lunch behind the table in the foyer (we had a huge 1890s house at the time)….and it took me forever to track down the awful smell. He spent some time gagging and cleaning up the mess too!
Thanks for starting my day with a laugh and a memory

If you wanna know bad smell…try going into a locker room with a team of 16-18 year olds after the fourth game within 24 hours. Whooaaaa!!!!

Stew, I think I’ll pass on that one. Were they attracting gnats??

Makes me think of the “times” the boys leave a sippy cup of milk or juice in the floorboard and it is overlooked. Once found it is not pretty to open those babies!
